“Post Mallard Cake Dash we didn’t just cool down and go home, we gave something back. We’ve made a donation to Boston Woods Trust, the woodland that our route runs through, and we’ve sponsored: • An oak tree on the route, solid, long-lasting, and doing the quiet hard work • A perch seat, because effort deserves recovery and sometimes the legs say “absolutely not” So next time you’re running through the woods questioning your life choices, just know there’s an oak and a bench

Looking after Westgate Wood.
One of BWT brilliant volunteers at work removing dead and dying trees Many thanks to the Boston Woods Trust volunteers who have been busy at work removing dead and dying trees from Westgate Wood. A large number of ash trees have caught a fungal disease that causes ash dieback. These are being removed as they are a hazard for walkers and dogs. Some wood is being left to decay naturally in situ providing habitat for many woodland creatures. The excess is being recycled. The lar
