The Boston Woods Trust is excited to have received this award towards the development of Joan's Wood "Forest of the Future". This support means alot to the Trust by showing that there is local support for the project and the work done by all the volunteers involved. This means that we can continue to enhance the land around Boston for the benefit of everyone.

11/7/26 Jenny's Wood, Meadow Pond Newt eft. Many people enjoyed Froglife's pond dipping session. Despite the dry weather they managed to find a good selection of insects, crustaceans, annelids and amphibians making their home in the ponds in the meadow. After a long dry spell the woods and meadows have become tinder dry and the smallest spark could start a fire. It is now extremely important that there are NO fires, BBQ's, smoking or naked flames at any site. All litter should be thrown into the bins provided. Sadly last year there was a fire that killed at least 20 young trees. Thank you for looking after the trees, meadows and wildlife.
