Planting up the Jenny's Wood ponds

Rachel and Abby from Froglife supplied us with plants to add to the restored ponds.

It started as a misty murky morning, not great for wading into cold water but the volunteers got on with the job. Special thanks to Martin who came well prepared to wade into the deeper water where plants were weighed down with stones.

They also built a hibernaculum so it will be interesting to see what new life can be found in the ponds as the season progresses.
