Boston Woods Trust working with Lincolnshire Butterfly Conservation.

Ian Paterson, Chairman of Lincolnshire Branch Butterfly Conservation and Howard Leader, Media and Communications, recently visited the Sir Joseph Banks Country Park. They were impressed with the site and excited at the prospect of Joan’s Wood, a forest of the future. The woods and meadow land provide a variety of habitats for moths and butterflies. Over the next year they will be doing several surveys to establish what species are present and will give us advice on how to sustain and increase suitable habitat.

There will also soon be the opportunity for those interested to be trained in butterfly/moth species identification.
