Founded in 2001, The Boston Woods Trust was formed to provide the people of Boston with a much needed amenity for recreational purposes including walking, bird watching and cycling.

There are now two major areas, The Sir Joseph Banks Country Park and Woods at Wyberton and the Fenside Woods on Fenside Road in Boston. Explore this site to find out more.

It is planned that there will eventually be accessible walks along 7 miles of mixed native deciduous woodland, wildflower meadows and ponds in a roughly crescent shaped corridor to the west of town.

All Boston Woods land is freely open for anyone to enjoy all day every day but we do ask you to:

·         Show respect for other visitors.

·         Clean up after dogs at all times: There is a £100 penalty for not being prepared to clean up.

·         Keep dogs under control and comply with signed restrictions: Between March and July keep dogs on a lead when on the meadow to protect the ground nesting birds.

·         Respect the ‘no dog’ restrictions for the Nature Reserve areas.

·         Not leave vehicles parked overnight.

·         Not introduce plants without specific permission: It is the policy of the Trust to maintain a natural environment with only English native species of plant for all to enjoy.

·         Not to leave unauthorised memorial items: These will be removed. If you would like a permanent memorial in the woods various options are available.

We are delighted with how the local community has become involved with the project donating time and money enabling the dream to become a reality.

Please continue to help us create this wonderful facility for all to enjoy. The woods will make Boston a better place to live for you, your children and grandchildren.
